“We’ve stayed in lots of holidays cottages and this must be one of the best - location, equipment, furnishings - all perfect.
When we weren’t looking out of the window or eating in The Greys Inn, we were visiting castles - Belsay, Dunstanburgh, Alnwick, Chillingham, Etal - we recommend them all. Also Howick Hall.
We don’t want to go home.
P.s. If the fish and chip van runs out, The Dunstanburgh Castle pub does a good takeaway version!”

Weather was wild, the cottage was perfect for us. Warm and cosy with everything we could ever need. Cottage was very well presented and spotlessly clean. Just what we needed, a weekend blowing the cobwebs away along the beach and home to snuggle up with a cuppa!”
“Southfield Farm is a wonderful location and the local town of Seahouses is perfect for family trips. A short trip to Bamburgh Castle is well worth it, the beach is just stunning. Finally, a day at Alnwick Castle is time well spent and well worth the money.”

“Southfield Farm is a short car journey from Seahouses and the coast. There are great views over fields towards the sea- perfect for nature lovers to watch deer, owls, and other birds, as well as local farm animals. Visit Seahouses and take a boat trip around the Farne Islands to see the seals, guillemots, and puffins. Local towns of Beadnell- including the bay and harbour and Bamburgh are much prettier than Seahouses and worth a visit. There are plenty of castles to visit along the Northumberland coast, too.”
