They have a lovely coffee shop and champagne bar - and on a clear day you can sit out on their high benches which over look the Cheviots. You can buy bottles of English Sparkling which we would definitely recommend. They are individually labelled in homage to an individual that the producer is inspired by.

Swinhoe Farm Riding Centre — Belford

Fancy exploring Northumberland on horseback? Swinhoe Farm Riding Centre has you covered. Offering lessons and hacks for riders who can walk and trot independently, to advanced riders.

Once you have had an assessment lesson, why not try a hack out around the farm through the wood or to St.Cuthberts cave, which includes several breath taking views of the Cheviots and holy Island.

  • St.Cuthberts Cave Ride is approx. 2 hours 15 mins, where you will see the dramatic sandstone Cave and spectacular views to the Cheviot Hills (suitable for novice riders upwards, must be able to Canter).

  • Woodland Ride (1 hour) with beautiful views of Holy Island, Bamburgh and the coastline. This is suitable for beginner riders upwards.

Hacks are for a maximum of five people per group, so that you learn to ride in open spaces, ride up and down hills. You don’t need your own equipment - there are toe cages on the stirrups for safety so riding boots aren’t essential, and you can hire our their riding hats thanks to their UVL machine used to clean all of the equipment.

P.s there are also some fishing boat tours you can book and explore what mackerel fishing off the North Sea coast is really like! Chat to the guys on Seahouses Harbour for more info. They usually take around 3hours.
